Terms of use
The agreement between you and Bazaar Lens when you use the site.
1. Who we are and what you are agreeing to
- Bazaar Lens (bazaar-lens.com) is an independent project run by a small team ("we", "us"). These terms are an agreement between you and us.
- By creating an account or using the site you accept these terms, the Disclaimer and the Privacy page. If you do not accept them, do not use the site.
- You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a contract under Indian law.
2. What Bazaar Lens is, and what it is not
- Bazaar Lens shows market data and calculations on that data: prices, charts, indicators, option chains, screeners, backtests, filings and similar information. It is a data and analytics tool.
- We are not registered with SEBI as an Investment Adviser or a Research Analyst. Nothing on the site is investment advice, a recommendation, a research report, or an offer or solicitation to buy or sell anything.
- Screens, alerts, rules and backtests do what you tell them to do. A stock appearing in a list or an alert firing means only that a condition you set is met; it is not a suggestion to act.
- Every decision to trade or invest is yours alone. Trading in derivatives carries a high risk of loss; past results, including backtests, do not tell you future results. Consult a SEBI-registered adviser if you need advice.
3. Accuracy, delays and availability
- Data comes from exchanges, data providers and public sources. It can be delayed, incomplete or wrong, and calculations depend on it. Pages show where their numbers come from and when they are from.
- We provide the site as it is and as available, without promises that it will be accurate, complete, timely or uninterrupted. Check prices with your broker or the exchange before you place an order.
- We may change, add or remove features and data at any time. We will tell you in advance about changes that take away something a paid plan includes.
4. Your account
- You sign in with your Google account. Keep it secure; you are responsible for what happens under your login.
- An account is for one person. Do not share it or sell access to it. Each plan allows a set number of signed-in devices.
- Give accurate details where we ask for them (for example your state, for GST invoices).
5. What you may not do
- Copy, download in bulk, scrape or redistribute data or pages from the site, or use them to build another product or service, except the downloads the site itself offers for your own use.
- Use bots, scripts or automated tools to access the site, or put an unreasonable load on it.
- Try to get around plan limits, security measures or access controls, or test the site's security without our written permission.
- Use the site for anything unlawful, including market manipulation, or upload anything harmful.
6. Plans, payments and taxes
- Paid plans are not on sale yet. While we test, people we invite get a plan without paying. The points below apply once paid plans are offered.
- Some features need a paid plan. The Plans page shows what each plan includes and its price in rupees.
- Paid plans are charged in advance for each period (monthly or yearly) and renew automatically until you cancel. You can cancel any time from your Account page; the plan then runs to the end of the period already paid for.
- Taxes such as GST are charged where the law requires them and shown on your invoice.
- If we change a price, the new price applies from your next renewal, and we tell you before it does.
- Refunds are covered by the Refund and cancellation policy.
7. Content and ownership
- The site, its software, design and calculations belong to us. Market data and documents belong to the exchanges, data providers and issuers they come from, and are subject to their terms.
- We give you a personal, non-transferable right to use the site for your own trading and research. Nothing else is licensed to you.
- Feedback you send us may be used to improve the site without any obligation to you.
8. Other services
- Sign-in uses Google, and payments, once offered, will use a payment gateway. Their own terms and privacy policies apply to them.
- Links to filings, circulars and other sites are given for convenience; we do not control those sites.
9. Suspending or closing an account
- You can delete your account at any time from Account → Privacy.
- We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or the law, or that puts the site or other users at risk. Where reasonable, we will tell you why and give you a chance to respond.
10. Limits on our responsibility
- To the extent the law allows, we are not responsible for any trading or investment loss, or for any indirect or consequential loss (such as lost profit or lost opportunity), arising from your use of the site or from data on it.
- To the extent the law allows, our total responsibility to you for any claim is limited to the fees you paid us in the three months before the claim arose.
- You agree to cover losses we suffer because you broke these terms or the law.
11. Complaints
- Raise a complaint on the Support page (category “A formal complaint”) or by email to support@bazaar-lens.com (see the Contact page). We acknowledge complaints within 24 hours and aim to resolve them within 15 days.
12. Changes to these terms
- We may update these terms. The date at the bottom shows the latest version. For significant changes we will tell you on the site or by email before they take effect. Using the site after that means you accept the updated terms.
13. Law and disputes
- These terms are governed by the laws of India, and disputes about them or the site are for the courts in India.
